Hi Simon ---
I do, I do! Here's my story:
I had rosacea for years without realizing it. I just thought it was a
peculiar sort of acne and treated it accordingly --- doing all the wrong
things, naturally, i.e., scrubs, peeling masks, alcohol-based cleansers
--- yowie! It just got worse and worse. About 12 years ago, my doctor
looked at my rash and offhandedly prescribed cortisone cream, assuring
me that this would "make it go away" --- it just grew worse and worse.
(I got disgusted and threw away the cortisone cream after about a week,
thank goodness.) By the time a friend said to me "You know, Pat, I
think you have rosacea", I had a flaming red face almost all the time,
with rashy-looking papules on my forehead, temples, cheeks and chin,
behind my ears, and creeping past my hairline into my scalp. The
constant itching and burning were driving me crazy, and I looked a mess.
After my friend's extremely helpful remark, I researched
"rosacea" on
the 'Net and discovered in approximately 5 minutes' time that yes,
indeed, this is EXACTLY what afflicted me. I quickly happened upon the
Rosacea-LTD site, immediately ordered the disks, impatiently drummed my
fingers on the table until they arrived, and set about using them
religiously as soon as they arrived.
I didn't notice much of a change for about a week, but then I
discovered that I wasn't getting any new papules, and that the redness
in my face was starting to fade. It improved every week after that.
After about a year of daily use, my breakouts were confined to my cheeks
and chin, with occasional dots on my nose after a particularly bad
flush. The condition of my skin continues to improve (I've been using
the disks for 3 years now), but it's not just the disks, although they
help quite a bit. I've also become increasingly aware of my "flushing
cycles", my triggers and how to avoid or minimize them, and my general
health. The one "lifestyle factor" that has helped me more than
anything is my dedicated guzzling of 8 - 10 glasses of water each day
--- it definitely keeps me from flushing as frequently or as severely
--- although I'm also very careful about what I eat and drink. (I had
to reluctantly give up my precious glass of Cabernet with dinner (sob!),
but after some cautious experimentation, I discovered that I can safely
sip a sissy-strength mixed drink like a margarita or a weak screwdriver
without flushing. Life has its occasional compensations.....)
I'd like to contribute a bit more information that can help you
to
decide whether you want to try the disks or not: first, my skin tends
to be oily, and is not nearly as delicate as some of the skin types I've
been reading about in this forum. Yes, it's sensitive, but I've never
reacted to the Rosacea-LTD disks at all, and I know others with more
sensitive complexions have reported that the disks irritated their
faces. And the other thing I'd like to stress is that the good results
take time and conscientious use --- these disks weren't a quick fix for
me, but I consider them a very good natural alternative to the more
medicalized solutions like antibiotics. I'm willing to accept
occasional episodes of flushing and breakouts --- I've mentioned before
that I get my most dramatic rosacea episodes during PMS time --- because
at its absolute worst, my rosacea is now SO much better than it was
three years ago that a bit of blotchiness now and then or a few spots
don't seem like much of a trial to me.
And someone else mentioned the cost, which is amazingly low
compared
with some of the other therapies available. My first order actually
lasted for 2 years --- I used the yellow disk every evening and the pink
one every morning.
Sorry to ramble on so, but I think all the details I've included
will
be helpful to those who are trying to decide whether this product will
work for them or not.

Dramatic Improvement With Rosacea LTD

From the rosacea Support Group treatment Archives comes the following post:

Subject: [rosacea] The Rosacea LTD disks are helping..

Hi- Been on the disks for about 3 weeks now. Last week and half(immediately upon using the yellow disk) dramatic improvement with bumps and pustules. Used to be pretty much carpet of bumps on cheeks  with quite a few pustules too. And bumps and pustules on forehead. For a week and half now almost no bumps or pustules. The redness also is less-maybe half and quite a bit less noticeable. Last Sat and Mon did gardening for about 1 1/2 hrs. each time-got very hot. Usually by the nighttime the increase in everything would be horrific. These to times however no bumps happened and the reddness was only worse for about 2hours. Even though it is not gone- being how severe it was I am pleasantly surprised I got results at all and how fast. I hope the improvement keeps continuing! deb

Rosacea Limited Discs

Hi Mary!
I'm back to using my trusty old discs. I use the brown disc; the yellow
discs don't seem to do that much for me--in fact, I think they may trigger
the famous "bumpiness" that we all love so much. Using Dr Linda Sy's
program of rinsing then applying a couple of drops of her safflower/jojoba
oil combo stems any drying or irritating tendencies the discs might have. I
think the brown discs do a good job of controlling the rosacea, and when I
go to reorder, I'll simply specify that I want the brown discs, only.. A
zinc product that I like (best for me) is the Reviva Oily Skin Night Cream,
which can be found in health food stores--now, I have not tried the yellow
disc (sulfur) with the zinc oxide cream; you've given me an idea! Thanks!
Hope this helps,
Carol

For those of you using the Rosacea Limited Discs have you had success
with them? Is there one disc that causes less dryness than the other? I
would like to try them but I am concerned about overdrying my skin. Is
like to find something that has sulfer and zinc oxide in it that can be used on the whole face without causing the skin to dry out alot. Any
 suggestions would be appreciated.
 Thanks,
Mary

Rosacea-Ltd Has Helped My Rosacea

I'm using the rosacea disks and have found them very helpful. I started
using them twice a day (am and pm) but after joining the group and learning
of the zinc, dimethicone, metronidazole compound, I only use it now in the
am, and the compound at pm.
It has been working pretty good.

I just found Rosacea-LTD website. I am thinking
of ordering. Anybody else want to give
their opinion. Redness is problem for me
not so much the bumps anymore. Also, if
you use them can you still use Metrogel?

My Results Using Rosacea-Ltd

From the Rosacea Support Group Archives:
From: adamsd@_.ca Date: Sun Feb 21, 1999 8:05 pm Subject: [rosacea] re discs

As others have mentioned the company bass and boney are very helpful to people with rosacea. The president also called me within one hour of my order to discuss my condition so he could determine what he should send me. One thing I have learned is that you must have a wet I mean dripping wet face and you apply the rosacea disc very lightly just barely touching the skin, if you see a brownor any color on your face you have used too much. If I use too much I get dry itchy skin otherwise within half an hour the redness is calmed right down and then I apply my moisturizer ( I use complex 15 in the tube) then wait and use my foundation. I only use the brown disc Ralph(the president of rosacea-ltd company) told me to use it gradually once a day for one week I waited two weeks because I was scared of a big reaction. Then my skin was used to the discs and I tried the yellow one. I got huge red bumps next day that took weeks to go away. I waited a week tried it again same thing happened so I just forgot about the yellow disc. I have talked to other people and they say the same about the yellow (it has more sulfur) in it and I am allergic to sulfur drugs so I was really worried about using the rosacea discs but topically is supposed to be different than internally. I really find them better than the metrogel. In Canada where I live we can not get suferacet lotion and some of the other stuff you get in the states. By the way I can tell you these discs last forever just remember to dry them off and reverse the sides each use. Susan

My Rosacea Is Under Control

I have been using Rosacea LTD since 1998. I wash my face with Neutrogena bar for sensitive skin. I used to watch my diet, drink gobs of water and take every supplement mentioned by the group. I don't need any of it now, although I wish I could get back to the water discipline.I never used jojoba oil or feel the need for makeup. My skin feels very comfortable. I also had good days and bad days at the beginning.

Have a good day Joan

Good results With Rosacea-Ltd

I have been using rosacea ltd for a long time, at least four years. As long as I use it consistently and drink enough water, I do fine. I may have some difficulty in hot, humid weather but for the most part do OK. I do not use the jojoba oil or special cleaners.

Rosacea-Ltd is the Best Product for Rosacea

Rosacea Ltd 3 is as good as a cure and it's the best product for Rosacea, but it takes at least 2 years to show great signs. I feel 80% cured after 2 years and I never had bumps on my face, my face only went very red when I got hot or embarrassed. When I'm hot now, the redness is minimal and I hardly feel hot or dry these days. My facial vessels are full of new tissue and is still growing

Rosacea-Ltd Improved My Rosacea

I have now been on the Rosacea Ltd for almost 3 months and my skin is looking really clear. Once all of the steroid rebound subsided, my face really started to clear up. I have had rosacea for about 5 years and have tried almost everything out there. This product is by far the best thing I have ever tried. I strongly suggest that if you have rosacea give this product a try. Once I had gone off the steroid cream prescribed by my doctor my skin was a mess. I was afraid to go out of the house, but along with all of the water, the discs and the time needed for my skin to heal it did finally clear up. Give this product a try!!!!!

Rosacea-Ltd User Since 1998

I have been using your yellow and brown discs since 1998 and find them very successful. By regular use, and following your guidelines about water/alchohol/extreme weather etc, I can minimize the symptoms. When I get a flareup, (as now, because I've run out of the product!)I get shiny red bumps and rough patches on my nose and cheeks and mild flushing (panda mask effect). My ocular rosacea had more or less cleared up when I received my last order 3 years ago, and only very rarely flares up, never for long enough to become a problem again.

I use the tan Rosacea LTD exclusively with Dove bar soap. I take no meds, topicals or supplements, although I did in the past. You're doing great for just starting the program. Patience gains all things. Take care. Joan
