The Ingredients In Rosacea-Ltd
The Rosacea-Ltd III ingredients consist of:
Zinc oxide. Various medical physicians for the treatment of inflammatory acne have used topically applied zinc for decades. They have used zinc either as the primary ingredient or in conjunction with other anti-acne medications. Currently, zinc is found in several different active forms in hundreds of over-the-counter skin care products and anti-acne medications. Topically applied zinc has been shown to have a potent anti-septic effect (Drs. Provost and Farmer). More specifically, evidence suggests that zinc has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal actions, as well as mild anti-inflammatory actions. Zinc oxide has been used as a natural, mineral derived “skin protecting” sunscreen agent; an antiseptic, an astringent, and a soothing base in creams and lotions. Zinc oxide offers broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays. Zinc oxide is an ingredient in many skin preparations that has a mild astringent action and soothing effect. It can be used to treat painful, itchy or moist skin conditions.
Magnesium stearate. Magnesium stearate is known for its anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory actions, by which they reduce redness better than antibiotics, and their vascular constrictor action, which reduces overall facial redness whereas no other products constricts the dilated skin vessels as these ingredients do so well.
Sodium chloride. Sodium chloride has long been well known for its anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory actions, by which they reduce redness better than antibiotics, and their vascular constrictor action, which reduces overall facial redness whereas no other products constricts the dilated skin vessels as these ingredients do so well.
Iron oxide. Iron oxide is a naturally occurring compound of iron and oxygen. Used as a natural colorant. This is used to distinguish between the two disks. The tan colored disk contains less sulfur than the yellow/white colored disk. It’s a good ‘starter’ or daytime disk.
Copper oxide. Copper oxide has been found effective for its anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory actions, by which they reduce redness better than antibiotics, and their vascular constrictor action, which reduces overall facial redness whereas no other products constricts the dilated skin vessels as these ingredients do so well.
And sulfur. For over two decades, sulfur has been used for the treatment of rosacea, and clinical studies have demonstrated that it is extremely effective in the treatment of rosacea-related papules and pustules. Many dermatologists tailor rosacea treatments to the individual by varying the concentration of sulfur in a given preparation (from 2 percent to 15 percent sulfur). Because rosacea is a chronic disease, treatment must usually be continued for a long period of time. For this reason, Drs. Blom and Hornmark were interested in a non-toxic, topically administered treatment that would be as effective as orally administered drugs such as antibiotics. To date, these medical physicians use topical sulfur as their primary anti-rosacea treatment (Drs. Blom and Hornmark). In a double-blind clinical study of 40 rosacea patients, these physicians found that rosacea-related papules and pustules responded much better to topical 10 percent sulfur than to oral antibiotics. More specifically, they found that with four weeks of topical sulfur treatment, the average number of papules and pustules dropped significantly (from 213 pimples before treatment to 17 pimples after treatment), that this clearing was much better than that attained by treatment with oral tetracycline. Sulfur is an important mineral component of vitamin B1 and of several essential amino acids. Sulfur is particularly necessary for the body's production of collagen, which helps to form connective tissue. Sulfur is also a component of keratin, the chief ingredient in hair, skin, and nails. By controlling bacteria and exfoliating the skin, sulfur is a popular acne treatment. Sulfur is thought to dissolve the top layer of dry, dead cells and slow down oil-gland activity. Sulfur is a required ingredient of your skeletal system and body fluids. Sulfur is not to be confused with the oral antibiotic sulfa pills used to treat body bacterial infections.
Polyethylene glycol. Polyethylene glycol used in a very small amount to improve the spread ability of a Rosacea-Ltd. This is what helps Rosacea-Ltd to glide easily over the skin.
The ingredients are compressed together much like a 'tablet', but we choose to call it a 'disk' as it is to be glided over the skin. Rosacea-Ltd III disks are 'glided over the wet skin after washing' where a small portion is dissolved onto the facial areas for direct best use of any product instead of being 'systemic' throughout the body. Simplicity in directly aiming at a target greatly insures accuracy in meeting your objective 'without side effects'.
These disks are processed in such a way that Rosacea Ltd III is virtually free of any irritant vehicle carriers. Typically, pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle carriers such as ethanol, glycerol, sterile alcohol, and glycerylmonostearate are used to place active ingredients into solution or emulsion form for application. However, in many cases, these vehicle carriers are irritants to people with rosacea-sensitive skin. No vehicle carriers are used in Rosacea Ltd III, since it is more than 99 percent undiluted active ingredients in and of itself. Furthermore, Rosacea Ltd III disks are free of any potentially irritating preservatives such as methylparaben, propylparaben, and Quaternium-15. Lastly, Rosacea-Ltd III disks are free of any potentially irritating fragrances.
